Double-hand Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not need to worry about any other, more skillful gamblers taking their money.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and plan while not needing to make quick choices.
It is also easier to play for an extended time with just a small amount of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the dealer is dealt 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
