No Joke, millions and millions of players are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more noteworthy "nice pros" of the game. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are facing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tourney winnings amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he captured two immensely admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the decency to talk to his fans about how they might improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His success has lead to him making an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life earnings exceed $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is one of the busiest players in professional poker and from 2000 to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in well over 100 competitions. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad defeat. As of 2006, his career earnings are almost $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has earned 5 World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins happening in 2003. Chris has the alias "Jesus" as a result of his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
