Four of Poker’s Nice Guys

No Joke, millions and millions of players want to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on four of the more well known "great guys" of poker. Even though "nice" is connected with their names when you are facing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his competition earnings amounted to in excess of four and a half million dollars and he came away with two highly admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. He even still has the decency to speak with his admirers about how they can advance their own game.

Howard Lederer

Referred to as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an instructional video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life winnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is 1 of the most active players in professional poker and between Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in well over 100 tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also coined the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad loss. As of 2006, his life time earnings are just about 6 million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned five World Series of Poker titles with two of his wins happening in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the alias "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to toss cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
