Web poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you must in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is akin to your original bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a sum equal to the original wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pays chips even with your initial bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
