Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only participant to achieve last game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker recorded history against Daniel Negreanu. Gus won a massive pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the greatest enthusiasts around the world. While playing net poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He frequently competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of $40, 000. Hansen frequently buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very poorly. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then pushes all in. I accept that Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has no reason to play at the table with the min buy-in.
Buying in for the min takes almost all of the skill out of deep stack poker. Gus is presumed to be one of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the total amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest players in the world might be guys you have will not have heard of. Gus can be seen competing in online poker on Full Tilt. He commonly participates in high stakes omaha hi-low and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his skills in cash games?
