Internet poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus an amount equal to the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The house pays cash equal to your ante and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
